What is the TOEFL ITP®?

IIE exclusively offers TOEFL ITP® Level 1 testing through our Bangkok Test Center (BTC) for anyone planning to study in English-based programs, needs to demonstrate English proficiency for work, and wants to stand out with a trusted internationally recognized English credential.

Testing at the IIE BTC is done in paper format and consists of multiple-choice questions that evaluate three skills: Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension.

The TOEFL ITP® is designed by ETS, a Princeton-based nonprofit, and grounded in over 50 years of academic research. In addition, the TOEFL ITP® is mapped to the CEFR to allow for better understanding of proficiency levels across a wide variety of contexts.

Requirements for the TOEFL ITP®

Important: The following conditions are required to take the exam:

  • 15 years old or above at the time of testing.
  • Full payment of fee is due at the time of registration.
  • Cancellations are not permitted once registration is complete.
  • Test fee payments are non-refundable.

Fees and Registration

Test Fee: THB 1,999 (non-refundable)

Payment is accepted through wire transfer and QR code.

Important: Proof of payment must be provided during the online registration process.

How to Register?

  • Online Form: Complete the online registration form, select an available test date, and upload a) proof of test fee payment, and b) national ID or passport.
  • Confirmation: Once payment is verified, IIE will provide a confirmation email confirming your seat.

Taking the Test

Preparation

  • Download the TOEFL ITP® Test Taker Handbook for information on what to do before the test, what to expect on test day, getting ready for the test, score reporting, and policies and guidelines.

Location

  • Arrive at the IIE Bangkok office at least 15 minutes before your scheduled test.
  • We are on the 6th floor of the Maneeya Building (North Tower) and can be accessed using the elevators closest to the BKK Bagel Shop on the ground floor.

What to Bring

  • A valid and up-to-date ID card or passport. The name on the ID must match the name used in registration. *Copies of IDs are not permitted.

Score Report

  • Official score reports will be available to pick up within 1 hour after the test.
